Compound subjects and Predicates October 28, 2009


A compound subject is made up of two or more simple subjects joined by a conjunction and have the same verb.
A compound predicate (or compound verb) is made up of two or more verbs or verb phrases that are joined by a conjunction and have the same subject.

p. 498 Exer. 5 Write compound subject for 2-4
Ex. #1 Jupiter and Saturn

p. 499 Exer. 7 Write the compound predicate for 2-4
Ex. 1. swim and play

Write one sentence with a compound subject and one sentence with a compound predicate.
