Friday

1st, 2nd, and 5th bellringer:Copy this information:

Subject complements are words that follow a linking verb and identify or describe the subject. They are either predicate adjectives which are adjectives that describe the subject. Predicate nominatives are nouns or pronouns that identify or rename the subject.

 
Underline the linking verbs once and subject complement twice.
1. All day the sky looked threatening.
2. The chances for a winter storm were excellent.
3. The roads become icy in the early evening.
Class work - 1st, and 5th - work in pairs to answer questions about Shakespeare;discuss graphic organizer of MidSummer Nights Dream & watch Disney clip
2nd:  work on Shakespearean letters and questions.
