Verb Phrases - the verb contains more than one word. The words that accompany the main verb are called auxiliary or helping verbs.
Verb phrases are used to indicate time (tense) or to emphasize meaning.
ex. time The boys were driving to the store after they left school.
ex. meaning The boys must drive to the store before going home.
Write 3 sentences using the following verbs in a verb phrase. They can be to express time or emphasize meaning.
