Divide into groups for Parts of Speech Presentations - Work on presentations
2nd Block - Beginning Speech
Bell Ringer - Answer questions 1-3 p. 10 of Speech Book.
Complete Intrapersonal Communication Exercise - creative interpretation Who Am I? Select four symbols that describe you in some way. Choose one from each category discussed in class, or come up with one or more of your own. Each student will present his/her selections to the class in an introductory speech.
3rd Block - Same bell ringer and exercise.
Also discussed stereotypes and defined "slang groups" in school. Divided into groups to prepare a two-minute conversation to present to the class on Friday.
