English 9 H Bell Ringer:
Review of Vocabulary Words that are verbs:

correlate                       undulate                     condone
Use each vocabulary word correctly in a sentence. It doesn't matter what tense of the verb you use.
Daily Work - Respond to writing prompt:  Pre-reading:  What is the best present you have ever received? Write one paragraph detailing:  What was it? What was the occasion? How did it make you feel? Why did you choose this one?
Draw present diagram - Label 4 sides (characters, setting, conflict, Irony)
Listen to The Gift of The Magi by O'Henry; watch movie
 
Speech - 2nd block -Bellringer

1.  What is an interview? (see p. 122 for help)
2.  List three types of interviews
Daily Work:  Take notes on Chap. 6 Interviewing; Watch clips and critique both subject and interviewer.
 
3rd block - Advanced Speech Jan. 25, 2010

p. 137
Define #1, 2, 5, 6, and 7. Write the term and the correct definition.
Watch Talk show from Friday; Finish Top 10 Questions - Interview each other with open-ended questions we brainstormed. 

Powerpoint on Group work; demonstrate group discussion
