Subject Verb Agreement with Compound Subjects December 1, 2009

Read top of page 616, then complete Exercise 8 1-3. Write complete sentences!!!
Also - p. 617 - 1-5 - Can write answer only
We will have a grammar quiz on Thursday - on subject/verb agreement

Blocks 2 & 3:  After bellringer - open Literature book to page 1139. Write vocabulary word and definitions; complete practice on top of page 1-12.  Write synonym or antonym for each number. Also Vocab practice 1-7 bottom of page.
 - Read together Books 16 & 17 from Odyssey pp. 1145-1149;  watch more of mini-series.

4th block:  The title of this story from an old blues song sung by African Americans as a response to trouble. The song says that blues music is not about self-pity or death. Blues songs are fighting songs, they help people survive.  If sentences are incorrect, correct them.
