p. 397 Literature Book - November 16, 2009
#s 2,4,6 Compound Predicates
Write the letter and complete answer of the correct choice.

Quiz on Wednesday: Simple and Complete Subjects and Predicates, Complements (direct objects, indirect objects, subject complements, object complements).  There will also be some questions reviewing past parts of speech.
Review for quiz:  Practice on smartboard.
  • Underline subjects, double-underline verbs, and place abbreviations over complements:DO=Direct Object; IO=Indirect Object; PN=Predicate Nominative; PA=Predicate Adjective
  • She was the catcher and waiting, so Bobby threw her the ball.
  • They shopped until they dropped.
  • We promised them a treat.
  • Five men had entered the room.
  • The boys were top athletes.
  • The building felt spacious.
