Subject Complements complete the meaning of a sentence. They follow linking verbs by naming or describing the subject.
A predicate nominative is a noun or pronoun that identifies or renames a subject.
A predicate adjective describes or modifies the subject. See p. 507 for more examples.Complete each sentence below. 1st with a predicate nominative, then with a predicate adjective. Example:
A tornado is a vicious storm.
The tornado was frightening.
