Today in Mrs. Landreau's class

Bellringers all blocks Coordinating and Correlative Conjunctions:
Exercise 60 p. 475 in Grammar Book - #1-6 (Find coordinating conjunctions in sentences).
Exercise 61, p. 476 in Grammar Book - Write sentences 2, 3, 4, underline correlative conjunctions in each sentence.

2nd & 3rd Blocks - Questions TKAM Chap. 15 &16
1.Which community member was prepared to assist Atticus in his confrontation with the Old Sarum bunch?
2. How was the "lynch mob" contained, and the tension defused?
3. On the first day of the trial, what is happening in Maycomb?
4. List 2 town members that Scout and Jem talk about in this chapter.
5.Where do the children end up sitting?

4th block
In Chapter 13 of To Kill a Mockingbird, answer the following questions:
1. Why does Aunt Alexandra come to visit?
2. What does she try to teach the children?
3. What type of conflict occurs in this chapter?
4. Is the conflict resolved? Describe.

2nd & 3rd Homework:  Begin skimming/reading chapters 17-19
4th:  Finish chapter 15.
