All blocks:  Subordinating Conjunctions October 20, 2009

Copy this information with examples:

Subordinating conjunctions join two clauses, or ideas, one is grammatically dependent on the other.
Example: After driving to the park, we walked the nature trail.
After is the subordinating conjunction that begins the clause "after driving to the park".
              I will continue teaching, as long as my health is good.
As long as is the subordinating conjunction that connects the subordinating clause "as long as my health is good" to the main sentence,
Sometimes the clauses are separated by commas, but not always.

#1-6 - Write the subordinating conjunctions in each sentence.
