1st Period - turn in worksheets and writing prompts from last week.
2nd period: bellringer - Bell ringer - define point of view - p. 186 Lit book
Describe 1st person, 3rd person omniscient and 3rd person limited
List the three methods of characterization on p. 188 and describe each one.
Class work - Read Pancakes and answer questions
4th and 6th period - discuss persuasive speaking.
5th period - read student model research paper.

All English Classes - No bellringers. The Writing Assessment is Today; we will go to the media center to take the assessment using the Criterion Online Writing Tools. You have 45 minutes to complete the task.
4th and 6th period: Persuasive Speeches are Due on Thursday, May 5th!
Today: 6th period complete Sections 1-3 of Chapter 16 on Oral Interpretation. Then:
choose one of the following for an oral interpretation:
1. Poem you already know or choose from literature book
2. Appropriate Song lyrics - write down for approval
3. Story Telling - choose a story you know by heart (3 Little Pigs, etc)
You will be presenting an oral interpretation today and tomorrow.
