Monday

1st, 2nd, and 5th - Motivational Monday Bell ringer:  Read short article about Dr. Katrina Poe from Mississippi.  Answer questions: 1) Who was one of the people who told the future doctor she couldn't do it?  2) Describe a time when someone told you something was impossible or encouraged/supported you.
3)  Give an example from one of our books of a similar incident of either discouragement or support.

Class work:  1st & 2nd -Work on adjectives and predicate adjectives; read We Beat the Street.
5th - work on adjectives; work on board games for We Beat the Street (this will be the final assessment). 

4th and 6th - Bellringer - take notes from the board on transitions
Class work:  4th- write introductions for assigned topic and give presentations.
6th - practice intros and conclusions; take notes on Chapter 11 - Logic and Reasoning.
