Refer to the definitions of Direct and indirect objects in the grammar book on p. 504-505.
Copy the sentences - underline any direct objects & circle indirect objects. Each sentence may not contain both:
Example. Sonya read us a long story.
1. Residents near this airport dislike the noise.
2. The plumber's assistant handed him a wrench.
3. Did the biology lab receive new equipment this year?
4. Mrs. White has been teaching students French for ten years.
5. The student council collected food for the homeless.
