Monday, Monday

1st block English 9 H:  Bellringer
p. 486 in Grammar Book.  Ex. 6.  Write sentences 1-5. Underline the adjectives once and the words they modify twice.
Example: Hardy miners were prominent among these hard-working settlers in northern sections of Idaho.
Daily Work - finish reading The Necklace - Group Activity (vocabulary).  Read I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou for Homework.

2nd block & 3rd blocks - Bellringer

List the types of delivery - p. 288-290

2nd block - daily (powerpoint on delivering a speech; watch clips of James Earl Jones, Fat Albert)  Watched My Fair Lady for enunciation and articulation.
3rd block - daily (powerpoint on delivering a speech)  Practice identifying vocal pauses.  Watched clips of speaking clearly.  Practiced delivery voice, body, face by reading children's books to class.
